The Week Ahead In The Stock Market
Some Thoughts, Possibilities and Probabilities!

The week ahead in the stock market will be dominated by earnings, but a commodities meltdown and the mixed earnings season, so far, are adding to concerns about global growth and may create some reservations among investors and traders alike.

More than a quarter of the S&P 500 companies will release their earnings in the upcoming week, including some major bellwether companies, such as; Ford Motor Co., U.S. Steel, Pfizer, Altria, GlaxoSmithKline, MetLife, Whole Foods Market, Time Warner Cable, Chevron and ExxonMobil.

The week ahead in the stock market will also be influenced by the Federal Open Market Committee, which is expected to discuss the path to normalizing interest rates during its two-day meeting, but is not expected to make major changes or even suggest when it might raise rates when it releases its statement Wednesday afternoon........Read more
