The week ahead in the stock market is a shortened trading week due to Monday's Memorial Day holiday but it will be filled with key earnings reports and economic data.

Major stock moving catalysts are few-and-far between, and U.S. stock investors have been enjoying an extended period of low volatility and steady gains – however, with the Federal Reserve on track to raise interest rates this year and major indexes near records, the market could get a bit choppier in coming weeks.

As the month of May winds down for the week ahead in the stock market, it appears that the market will continue to be choppy and range-bound; basically driven by the bond market’s elevated volatility.

The notable companies releasing their latest quarterly financial results include AutoZone, Workday, Michael Kors, Tiffany, Toll Brothers, DSW, Costco, Palo Alto Networks, Abercrombie & Fitch, Ulta Salon Cosmetics & Fragrance and GameStop.
