About Ian Harvey
Ian Harvey has been trading on the stock market since 1986. With a background in finance and marketing, Ian ran a highly successful investment advice business from 1986 to 1998.
After marrying in 1998, Ian decided to sell his business and make trading his primary source of income. The Harveys wanted to travel and live abroad, and trading on the stock market was the perfect way to work from anywhere in the world. All that is needed is a computer and an Internet connection.
Ian loves the freedom and flexibility that comes from trading. There is no need to be tied to an employer or employees, clients, an office or place of work. One can be anywhere and still work, make money and play! He feels that trading is so energizing, with its ups and downs, thrills and spills- as long as the ups and thrills outweigh the downs and spills!!
Ian’s focus is on two areas of trading- stock and option trading. By concentrating on these aspects, he has developed a high level of knowledge and expertise.
For a number of years Ian has been approached by many people wanting him to trade for them. He decided that rather than doing this, he would present a system whereby others could follow his method for successful trading, which resulted in the offering of the Armchair Trader Membership.
He also designed the Harvey's Options Volatility Indicator to help address a need for
easy to understand and implement indicators in the marketplace for options trading.
Wanting to share his knowledge, techniques, and straight-forward methods of explaining options trading with a wider number of people prompted Ian to create the Stock Options Made Easy website in 2009.
Ian’s goal is to continue making money doing what he loves, and to help others to do the same.
